AFTER HAVING SERVED AT THE NATIONAL OFFICE OF OPEN BIBLE CHURCHES FOR MORE THAN 37 YEARS, LINDA DIXON WILL RETIRE JUNE 28, 2019.

Linda Dixon-2Looking forward to a well-deserved break, Linda said, It has been my privilege and joy to serve Open Bible ministers and churches. It’s not easy to say farewell, but I know this is God’s time for me to retire. I’ve worked with many amazing Open Bible leaders and an office staff of the highest quality. I thank the Lord for these people and the influence they’ve had on my life. I also thank Him for the ministry He has allowed me to have and be involved with through the national office. I’m looking forward to spending more time with my husband and family, doing some traveling, and working on projects I haven’t had time for.

Open Bible President Randall A. Bach has high praise for Linda. He said,

I do not usually search for words to express myself. However, words do not seem adequate to express my appreciation and respect for Linda Dixon’s faithful and loyal service at the national office. The names of people under whom she served are Ed Anderson, Randall Bach, Paul Leavenworth, Teri Beyer, and Brian Ehlers – all distinct individuals with their own personalities and work styles.

Linda so graciously and kindly helped each of those leaders in exemplary fashion. She is meticulously thorough with organization, records, and procedures. Her 37-year-knowledge of history, from churches to ministers and from policies to procedures, is irreplaceable. How could we possibly extract everything she knows and remembers? We can only try. I have worked with Linda for over 22 of her years in the national office. I have never seen her speak ill of anyone or demonstrate anything other than a kind and loving attitude. Never. As in never. On the rare occasions that she has had to field a call from someone who was upset or angry, I have heard her respond with amazing patience and Christ-like love. Frankly, I was thankful she was the one handling the call! If we had a Hall of Fame for office personnel, Linda would be entered into it immediately upon her retirement, unanimously. Open Bible owes a huge debt of gratitude to Linda Dixon. Truly, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
