This year’s theme, “Taking Christ to the Nations,” featured a parade of flags representing the 20 countries where the Open Bible Churches MOVE (Men of Vision Evangelize) team has traveled on 40 building missions trips over the past 36 years. MOVE teams have built churches, clinics, Bible schools, and other ministry venues. The flag bearers, wearing MOVE t-shirts, were MOVE team members and wives from Iowa and Oklahoma. Special guests for the event were Paul and Vivian Canfield, former Directors of Open Bible Global Missions. Don Porter, founder and pastor of New Beginnings Open Bible Church in Stuart, Iowa, and chaplain for MOVE, started the Guthrie County Southern Gospel Sing with three groups coming for an afternoon. Now the two-day event features 20 groups and utilizes a host of volunteers. Tori’s Angels Foundation, whose mission is to help families of children who have life-threatening medical conditions, provides food. Prayer for those in need and opportunities for people to put their faith in Christ are offered at each event.
