Brennen,-Rick-color-webThe National Board of Directors of Open Bible Churches appointed Richard D. Brennan, Jr., senior pastor of Summit Open Bible Fellowship in Belle Fourche, South Dakota, to serve as a regionally appointed member effective October 1, 2017.

Mountain Plains Regional Executive Director Bill Jimenez said, “Rick brings a unique perspective to the national board, having served as a pastor as well as being involved in law enforcement.”

Besides having pastored Summit Open Bible Fellowship since 1992, Rick has served as the Dakota District Director since 2013. He has served as a reserve police officer since 2006 and is currently the chaplain of the local police department.

President Randall A. Bach said, “I have known Rick Brennan since he was a student at Open Bible College. He has always provided a steady hand of faithful leadership with a loving, pastor’s heart wherever he serves. I look forward to his contributions as a member of the National Board of Directors.”

“I have known nothing but Open Bible since I came to know the Lord,” Rick said. “I will bring to the table the wisdom the Lord has given me over the years, the experiences of being a district director for five years, and the desire to see the church arise in this hour. I believe I am called for His purposes for such a time as this, and I will strive to hear and share what He is saying. I am honored to be in league with such men as those who are on the board today!”
