MOVE is Passing the Baton of Leadership Message April 30, 2019 Across The Nation, Archive, Current Issue 78 Font Size » + | -Aaron Keller was unanimously appointed as the new National Director of Men of Vision Evangelize (MOVE) by the recommendation of former National Director Don Tietz and the MOVE leadership team, approval of the board of Global Missions, and ratification by the National Board of Open Bible Churches. This new appointment began March 2, 2019. Retiring director Don Tietz has served faithfully as the National Director of MOVE for more than 12 years. He recently informed Global Missions of Open Bible that he would be resigning as of March 1, 2019. We congratulate Don on his exemplary service and hard work which have brought MOVE to a new level. His love and heart for the men who accompany him on missions trips can be seen by the way Don ministers and interacts with everyone. Don shares, Five years ago I began praying and watching for someone to come alongside whom I could help prepare for leadership in MOVE just as Ray Rexius had done with me. In 2016 Aaron showed up on a team to Papua New Guinea. Over the last three years, I’ve watched him flourish in this ministry, stepping up and becoming more and more active each year. He has been and will continue to be a great asset to this ministry. Aaron said, The opportunity to become the National Director of MOVE is a fulfillment of a missional calling I received at 17 years of age. I love MOVE’s involvement with Open Bible missionaries and field directors and the desire to enhance their ministries. MOVE has a two-fold purpose. Completing our construction projects is our primary objective, but a close second is mobilizing men for the Kingdom. In the future we plan to broaden our reach to give more men the opportunity to be a part of short-term missions work. We are also eager to connect with more Open Bible churches across the U.S. I am so grateful for a supportive family, church, MOVE leadership team, and the Open Bible national leadership team. Please pray for Aaron and the MOVE leadership team as the baton of leadership is passed. Pray also for a smooth transition and for many more men to be mobilized to impact the world through this vital ministry.
