HomeAcross The NationEthics: The Old Testament, The New Testament, and Contemporary Application Message November 9, 2016 Across The Nation, Archive, Breaking, Current Issue 1181 Font Size » Large | Small Open Bible President Randall A. Bach was asked to be one of the writers in a newly released book called Ethics: The Old Testament, The New Testament, and Contemporary Application, edited by Kathleen Patterson and Bruce E. Winston. The book provides a glimpse into the lives of biblical men and women, some considered ethical and some unethical, to show the connection between a person’s values, their choice of behavior, and God’s reaction toward the person. The insights gained from these cases reveal what behaviors, thus what values, God rewards. This book is geared for classroom and small group discussions about the connection between values and behaviors, and for self-study and reflection. The stories and illustrations provide examples for us to follow, or perhaps not to follow, so we can sense the scope of ethics from a Biblical perspective in the context of leadership.
